David Gilmour Breaks Out Pink Floyd Rarity For Tour Kickoff Show
.
(Radio.com) For the first time in 22 years, Pink Floyd's David Gilmour played 'One of These Days" live during his European tour opener at Freedom Square in Wroclaw, Poland this week, Billboard reported. 'One of These Days" was originally the opening track on Pink Floyd's 1971 album Meddle. The song contains a single lyric, delivered by drummer Nick Mason, "One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces." The guitar god also performed 'Dancing Right in Front of Me" from his solo LP Rattle That Lock, and slayed Pink Floyd standards like 'Wish You Were Here" , 'Run Like Hell" , 'Time," 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and 'Comfortably Numb." Gilmour's solo tour takes him to Rome's Circus Maximus and then on to Pompeii, where where Pink Floyd taped their 1972 concert documentary. Check out "One of These Days" here.
