Linda Perry Apologizes To Lady Gaga For Songwriting Accusation

(Radio.com) Linda Perry has apologized to Lady Gaga after she claimed the singer doesn't deserve a co-writing credit for the Diane Warren Oscar-nominated song "Til It Happens to You," from the documentary The Hunting Ground.

Over the weekend, Perry sent a series of tweets (that have since been deleted) accusing Gaga of not deserving a co-writing credit on the song. She clarified the allegation on Monday (Jan. 18) writing, "My sincere apologies. I made a mistake to comment. I wasn't in the room when the #TIHTY was being written." Perry added, "More importantly, I wish the focus to remain on the great importance of the song and the message of the film." See the tweets below.

On Monday, Perry claimed that Gaga changed one line in the song and that doesn't constitute a co-writing credit. She added, "I credit Diane for writing the song, it is her experience, her pain, her words."

Diane Warren took to Twitter following Perry's claims and wrote, "The song is the result of a special collaboration between myself and Lady Gaga. As Lady Gaga and I have consistently said. 'Til it Happens To You' was inspired by the countless survivors of abuse who need our support and love so they know they're not alone." See Perry's apology here.

A cousin named Rayshawn has written a script that RZA calls "pretty interesting," but he's not willing to fully commit to directing the project at this point.

"I wouldn't mind not doing it and I wouldn't mind doing it," the rapper tells Rolling Stone. "From the age of six, me and [ODB] used to push shopping carts around grocery stores and try to get nickels. There are very few people who know the real him as much as me. So it would be something that I would be honored to do, but there's a lot of moving parts to it." Read more here.

Lil Wayne and Birdman End Their Beef

(Radio.com) With all the hip-hop beefs going on these days, it's good to see that at least one has officially ended! Over the weekend in Miami, Cash Money's CEO Birdman and long estranged artist Lil Wayne appeared on stage together, with the exec seeming to imply they had reconciled.

The two men have had some serious drama. Wayne had previously sued Birdman for $51 million over purported unpaid profits and rights. Last year, Birdman was accused of conspiring with Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, who was indicted on 30 counts including charges of aggravated assault and racketeering, after allegedly shooting up Wayne's tour bus after an April 26th performance in Atlanta. The indictment states that Winfrey called cellphones connected to Young Thug and Birdman, although neither artist was charged in any crimes associated with the shooting.

"This my motherf-- son and I'ma die for him, Ima live for him, and I'll motherf-- kill for him," says Birdman as he stands next to Wayne on stage. 'That ain't gonna never change, n--. It's YMCMB for life, and we gon' live this s-."

Is the hatchet buried? Check out the clip and decide for yourself here.

The Game Talks Rap Feuds

(Radio.com) "What's Beef?" That's the question The Game posed on his Instagram account Monday evening (Jan. 18), when he shared an image that explains social media's influence on rap beefs. Some of the examples include tweeting shade back and forth, as well as sharing rude memes.

The Game believes it's nonsense the way beefs play out online. "Hip hop beefs were healthy & consisted of rap battles between dope M.C.'s like the legendary KRS-One & Busy Bee beef, the Nas & Jay-Z beef, The Real Roxanne & Roxanne Shante beef," he wrote in the caption accompanying the image.

"But now, so much of this bulls- going around, it's even hard for me not to get sucked into this social media way of beefing. & even though some of these memes be funny as f-.. Why do they determine who won a rap beef ??? WTF happened to REAL hip hop & the classic way of handling rap feuds ???" he asked.

The Game has famously been involved in a back-and-forth beef with Stitches after his manager punched out the rapper in Miami. Stitches has since requested The Game fight him in a Celebrity Boxing Match, but The Game has only offered several increasingly confusing responses.

Check out the state of beefs today according to The Game here.
