Cyndi Lauper Tributes Prince With 'When You Were Mine'
.
(Radio.com) Cyndi Lauper is the latest music star to perform a tribute to Prince. She performed a rousing version of "When You Were Mine" that would have made the Purple One proud on Wednesday night (May 25) at New York's Beacon Theatre. The song was originally on Prince's classic 1980 album, Dirty Mind, and Lauper covered it on her 1983 debut She's So Unusual. Lauper brought her energy to the stage, dancing around to the synth-laden classic. Her backing band jammed towards the end in a move that was pure Prince. Lauper's performance last night marks the first of her two-night sold out stand at the venue (she's co-headlining with Boy George).Watch her pay tribute here.
