Soulja Boy Says Chris Brown Feud Started With Rihanna

(Radio.com) Chris Brown and Soulja Boy's brief beef last week reportedly started when the rapper left a comment on Brown's ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran's Instagram. But it turns out their bad blood might have more to do with Rihanna.

Speaking with Hollywood Unlocked, Soulja Boy claimed that he was briefly with Rihanna following her first split from Brown in 2009. "What he really mad about is that I was with Rihanna, you know what I'm saying?" Soulja Boy said.

Soulja Boy explained how he was at the same Grammys party Rihanna and Brown attended before the two left and Brown assaulted her in his car. It took a few months, but later that year she allegedly called up Soulja Boy to hang out. "I'm in L.A., I'm on tour with Lil Wayne at this time, Rihanna called my manager," he said. "'I want to come to Soulja Boy concert.' I'm a young n- from the hood from Atlanta, I never had nothing in my whole life, that's Rihanna n-. She the biggest R&B artist and she just got humiliated. 'You can come to the show.'"

He insisted that the details of their affair are all over the Internet. Read more here.

Taylor Swift And Zayn Malik Destroyed Hotel Room?

(Radio.com) If the lyric video Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik released for their single "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" is any indication, the full visual is going to be next level hot.

The pair reportedly destroyed a $3,000-a-night London hotel room to make the music video, according to UK tabloid The Sun. Sources said Swift set fire to the curtains at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and the crew had to work quickly to quiet smoke alarms.

She also allegedly smashed a bathroom mirror while Zayn tore up pillows and broke a lamp. All that bad behavior seems fitting for their song considering it's part of the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack. Read more here.

James Corden's 'Carpool Karaoke' Being Revamped

(Radio.com) James Corden's beloved segment Carpool Karaoke is getting a revamp. The late-night host sold the project to Apple last year and the rebooted series will include celebrities sharing the passenger seat with The Late Late Show host.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, creators Corden and Ben Winston have often been approached in the past by non-musicians, but time constraints have limited them to only seek out musicians. Apple's partnership will allow actors and comedians to take part in the viral sensation as well.

"So many people get in touch with us--big-name movie stars--saying they'd love to do Carpool Karaoke," Winston said. "Here, it's about taking those people who aren't musicians, necessarily."

Apple's first season of Carpool Karaoke will include 16 pairings, one even featuring Corden. One trailer includes Will Smith singing along to "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" backed by a full marching band. Read more here.

The Killers Demand 'Free Orange Chicken For Life'

(Radio.com) The Killers were more than a bit surprised during a recent visit to Panda Express when they found one of their song titles as the inscription inside a fortune cookie. After one of the members cracked open the cookie and pulled out the message, he saw the words, "Smile Like You Mean It."

The title was, of course, a 2004 single from the popular rock band. Taken aback, The Killers hit social media. 'I'm thinkin' orange chicken for life and we'll let you off the hook for using our stuff," the band wrote in a caption on Twitter which included the fortune.

The establishment was quick to write back, but stopped short of saying they will honor the band's wishes. "When it comes to #OrangeChickenLove, we always mean it," they wrote. Read more here.

Billy Joel Reveals His Favorite Songs

(Radio.com) Billy Joel stopped by The Late Show to discuss his discography with Stephen Colbert. The late night TV show host pressed the "Piano Man" on his favorite songs.

Joel named "Vienna" atop the list, and Colbert agreed. Others in the top tier included 'And So It Goes," 'You May Be Right," 'She's Right On Time," and 'Scenes from an Italian Restaurant."

"I actually think about that on when I'm stage--what would I want to see me do?" Joel said. 'I tend to like the album tracks, not the ones that are the hit singles."

The pop icon also discussed building bikes for Bruce Springsteen and why he's reluctant to put out new music. And during the segment, Colbert teased Joel about his dearth of new material since 1993.

"Elton John said you should put out more albums," Colbert goaded. "I told Elton John he should put out less albums," Joel clapped back. During his visit, Joel also performed "Miami 2017." Watch his interview and performance here.

Alabama Crimson Tide Blame Drake Curse?

(Radio.com) Like Ciara, Drake has once again found himself at the center of a curse rumor. For certain sports fans, everything he touches does not turn to gold. Alabama Crimson Tide has won four national championships since 2009 and seemed absolutely unstoppable as they faced off against the Clemson Tigers for yet another title Monday night (Jan. 9), but Clemson ended up winning at the last second with a touchdown that put them ahead 35-31.

After the loss, fans immediately began blaming Drake because he was seen sporting Alabama gear shortly before the game, and many believe it was his curse-heavy endorsement that caused the Tide to lose.

The Drake curse originally surfaced after Serena Williams lost the US Open in 2015. At the time, she was poised to become the first female player to win the Grand Slam since 1998, but she was caught making out with Drake before the win so the Internet blamed him. Evidence only mounted when Drake was caught hanging out with the Golden State Warriors' Steph Curry and the team's losses shot up 100% shortly thereafter. Read more here.

Ed Sheeran Explains Decision To Release Two Songs At Same Time

(Radio.com) The world has been waiting for new music from Ed Sheeran for nearly two years, and this past Friday (Jan. 6), he surprised us all with not one, but two singles. 'Shape Of You" and 'Castle On The Hill" immediately rose to the top of the iTunes charts worldwide and there's an important reason why the singer-songwriter chose to release both tracks simultaneously.

"I think it was quite hard to kind of pinpoint what song to go with to represent the album, so I thought I'd pick two that were kind of opposing ends of the album and release them at the same time," Sheeran told Carson Daly on 97.1 AMP Radio.

"And also, since I've been away, the way that albums are being released are now you have to just kind of make up your own rules. There's no rulebook to follow, so you just have to do things that people aren't doing, and I thought making two double A-side singles with two videos that go to radio at the same time, it's a talking point. And even if only one of the songs works, it still got people to talk about them." Read more here.
