Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has recruited AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler for his take on the Howlin' Wolf classic "Killing Floor", the lead single from his forthcoming blues album.

The new album, entitled "Orgy of the Damned", will be hitting stores on May 17th and will feature the Guns N' Roses icon's take on 12 blues classics with the help of his blues band Johnny Griparic (bass), Teddy Andreadis (keyboards), Michael Jerome (drums), and Tash Neal (vocals/guitar), along with special guests Gary Clark Jr, Billy F. Gibbons, Chris Stapleton, Dorothy, Iggy Pop, Paul Rodgers, Demi Lovato, Brian Johnson, Tash Neal, Chris Robinson, and Beth Hart. (continue)

Scorpions have been forced to cancel their appearance at the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City on March 16th as frontman Klaus Meine recovers from "complex spinal surgery'.

The iconic German rockers broke the news to fans with the following social media message from Meine, "Dear Mexican Fans, knowing that some of our most amazing diehard fans live in Mexico, it is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know, Scorpions will not be performing at the Vive Latino Festival on the 16th March 2024 in Mexico City. AXS TV have announced that they will be celebrating the enduring legacy of Blackberry Smoke drummer Brit Turner with a special presentation of the 2019 concert doc Homecoming: Live In Atlanta—airing Sunday, March 10 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. A founding member of the band since its inception in 2000, Turner passed away at the age of 57 on Sunday, March 3, following a battle with brain cancer.

Homecoming captures the acclaimed Southern rock five-piece band during their annual Black Friday show at The Tabernacle in their hometown of Atlanta. Fueled by Brit Turner’s signature rhythms, the band blazes through a lively set featuring beloved hits, deep cuts, and classic covers. Highlights include performances of Blackberry Smoke staples “Waiting For The Thunder,” “Medicate My Mind,” and “One Horse Town,” The Beatles’ “Come Together” and Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds,” and many more. Daryl Hall and Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton have announced a co-headlining summer run across North America. The 22-city tour kicks off on June 2 at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, OR making stops at Los Angeles’ The Greek Theatre, Las Vegas’ Fontainebleau Las Vegas, Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway, New York’s Radio City Music Hall and many more before wrapping up in Vienna, VA at Wolf Trap Filene Center on July 25.

(hennemusic) Judas Priest is streaming its newly-released album, “Invincible Shield.” The iconic UK band’s 19th studio set is produced by Andy Sneap, who also doubles as a touring member of the group in place of Glenn Tipton following his retirement from full-time touring a few years ago while dealing with Parkinson’s Disease; Tipton is featured as both a songwriter and guitarist on the 2024 record.

Sneap previously oversaw production of 2018’s “Firepower”, which delivered Judas Priest its highest-charting US album when it debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. (continue)

Ben Folds announces the return of his popular “Paper Airplane Request Tour,” performing solo shows across the US starting May 30, 2024. What initially began years ago as a request for songs as encores will once again be a central element in Folds’ shows when he engages audiences to make their song requests via paper airplanes.

“The last time I did this on tour the response was overwhelming, with literally hundreds of paper airplanes with song requests being launched on cue from fans at the start of the second half of each of my concerts,” said Folds. “It’s the purest, most low-tech form of engagement that creates a special bond with my audiences.” (continue)
