Kaosis called in the Titans of Turntables, Sid Wilson, and DJ Lethal to take their new single, It All Comes Down, to bombastic levels of Nu. Undoubtedly, Slipknot and Limp Bizkit were two of the biggest influences on the formation of Nu Metal. Between them, the bands defined the characteristics of the genre. One of the characteristics is the use of turntablists as a sonic layer. DJ Lethal and Sid Wilson are the forefathers of nu-metal scratching and revolutionized heavy metal in the process.

Lethal and Wilson have two very distinct approaches to their craft with Lethal being a bonafide Hip Hop icon from his time in HOUSE OF PAIN and WILSON having a more abstract and visceral approach to sound creation. The collaboration of these two distinctly different sounds forges a fresh new dimension to Kaosis' luscious soundscape. (continue)

Attentive listeners have already noticed a narrative throughline in the highly acclaimed new album from '80s rock icons Missing Persons, Hollywood Lie. Indeed, the album is in some ways part concept album, part autobiography. Its leadoff and title track expresses the overarching theme best, delving into the harsh realities of fame and terrible tragedies that often accompany the relentless pursuit of stardom in Tinseltown.

Now, fans can experience the album's narrative in video form as "Hollywood Lie" the video is released today. The video tells the all-too-familiar tale of a young starlet whose aspirations are met with disillusionment, crushed under the weight of Hollywood's unforgiving facade. Through haunting melodies and evocative lyrics, Missing Persons vocalist Dale Bozzio paints a vivid picture of the trials and tribulations faced by those who dare to chase their dreams in the city of angels. Hershey, PA alternative rockers Lives Lost recently released a new single and music video called "Champagne", and to celebrate we asked Tanis Pellegrini to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

The song is written about a tough time in my life where a friend showed their true colors, and didn't turn out to be who I thought they were. I think disappointment and loss are universal languages in the same way as happiness and love. This is a song for everybody that has been let down by seeing somebody's absolute goodness and potential and waking up to the reality that they've chosen to be a bad person instead of a good one.
