The Red Rocker, beloved music icon Sammy Hagar, will be celebrated by AXS TV with an all-day marathon, Sammy Super Sunday, packed with powerhouse performances, insightful sitdowns, unforgettable jam sessions, and more-airing Sunday, April 14, starting at 10 a.m. ET.

Sammy Super Sunday is headlined by the concert film Sammy Hagar & The Wabos: Livin' It Up! at 9pE. The set captures Hagar at the top of his game, as he takes the stage to blaze through a career-spanning set of some of his biggest hits. Highlights include performances of solo staples "I Can't Drive 55," "Little White Lie," and "Heavy Metal;" Van Halen hits "Good Enough," "Summer Nights," and "Best Of Both Worlds," featuring Van Halen legend Michael Anthony; and many more. Anthrax founding member and original bassist Dan Lilker will be making his first appearances with the band in over 40 years on their upcoming South American tour and a couple of U.S. music festival dates.

Lilker will be rejoining his former bandmates after bassist Frank Bello was forced to pull out of the shows due to personal reasons. Nuclear Blast Records sent over the following details: Lilker, who co-wrote and played on Anthrax's debut album Fistful of Metal, was also a member of Stormtroopers of Death with Charlie Benante and Scott Ian. Reverb has shared a new video where Joe Bonamassa plays Jimi Hendrix's a vintage "Band of Gypsys" rig at Nerdville. They sent over these details: Coming to you live from Nerdville, where blues legend Joe Bonamassa put on one hell of an experiment.

In this corner, we have a Jimi Hendrix-inspired rig. Complete with a 1969 Fender Strat in Olympic White, a Vox Wah, a Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe and more, this rig has an estimated cost of over $60,000. And in the other corner, we have less than $1,500 worth of gear; a Squier Strat, a Dunlop JH-1D Wah, a Peavey Classic 30, and more. Who won? Vampire Weekend have released "Mary Boone" - the fourth and final advance offering from Only God Was Above Us out April 5th via Columbia Records, along with a official visualizer which features a rapper who's never released an album, Despot, driving from New Jersey to Manhattan via the Lincoln Tunnel.

Written by Ezra Koenig and featuring a sample of the iconic drum loop from "Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)" by Soul II Soul. Produced by Ariel Rechtshaid and Koenig, with lush orchestral arrangements by Will Canzoneri, Koenig and Rechtshaid, the song - named for one of the most influential figures of the NYC art world of the 1980s-features a soaring, operatic choir alongside Koenig's understated but honeyed vocals, and lyrics referencing Tadao Ando churches, Natarajas, hex signs, and whirling Dervishes. As its eclectic sonic and lyrical tapestries unfold, the song finds a narrator looking to get their foot in the door of the New York art world (or perhaps something bigger). (continue)

There is new music from former iron Maiden frontman Paul Di'Anno's Warhorse. The band has released a EP entitled "Stop The War" on BraveWords Records. The EP "Stop The War" is in advance of the band's upcoming full length debut album.

Speaking about the Stop The War EP, Paul Di'Anno said, "I'm looking forward to the digital release of 'Stop the War', 'Warhorse' and 'The Doubt Within' and I hope you like it. Our debut album, Riversend, was inspired by our very first single, "Dreaming". I had a vivid dream that I was reunited with my favorite cat that passed away several years ago. I poured my dreamed experience into that first song, and it paved the way for the rest of the album. Each song is inspired by some element from "beyond the veil," and the album's got a real ghostly and dreamy atmosphere. (continue)
