Inner Surge Wolves Vision

06/06/07
.
(PR) Canadian rock/metal band Inner Surge and director Shaun Friesen of Free Zen Design will be launching the band's new music video for "Wolves". Inner Surge and Shaun Friesen first teamed up in late 2005, when Free Zen Design did the original artwork and layout for Inner Surge's "Signals Screaming" CD, which received top reviews after it's April 2006 release through Cyclone Records.

The "Wolves" music video is a radical departure from Inner Surge's previous video "Retribution Song", produced by "Cabras" film director Fredy Polania. Always one to break the mold, Shaun Friesen's directorial debut focuses on multimedia collage and conceptual animation based on the songs subject matter - the events leading to and during the 1994 Rwandan genocide - while the band takes a backseat. Inner Surge was inspired by acknowledged heroes such as Paul Rusesabagina and Romeo Dallaire, as well as the stories of the many ordinary Rwandans who helped others through this event.
