Ace Frehley Appears On Megadeth, Anthrax Supergroup's New Song

Original KISS guitarist lent his soloing skills to the brand new track called "Late", from the Megadeth and Anthrax supergroup Altitudes & Attitude.

The song comes from the forthcoming debut album from Megadeth cofounder David Ellefson and Anthrax's Frank project. The record will be entitled "Get It Out" and it is set to hit stores on January 18th.

The duo released a video for the track, which can be streamed here. Bello had this to say, "David and I had a blast filming Late at our friend Chris Santos' restaurant, Beauty and Essex in New York City."

Ellefson added, "The song has an easy feel to it, so we shot the video with that same spirit. The music is haunting with a memorable hook and Frank's personal storyline. These songs are fun and inspiring to perform."

The Rolling Stones Expand No Filter Tour

(hennemusic) The Rolling Stones have added a May 2 headline appearance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival to their upcoming No Filter tour of the US.

The historic 50th anniversary of the event is scheduled to run over two weekends: April 25-28 and May 2-5, with each day presenting its own unique lineup.

Among the headliners on the opening weekend are Earth, Wind and Fire (Apr 25), Santana (Apr 26), Katy Perry (Apr 27) and Van Morrison (Apr 28); the Stones top the bill on May 2, followed by Chris Stapleton on May 3 and Dave Matthews Band on May 4, with Jimmy Buffett closing things out on May 5. Ozzy Osbourne Leads Music Festival Lineup

Ozzy Osbourne, Disturbed and Shinedown lead the lineup for this year's Rocklahoma festival, which is set to take place on May 24th through 26th at the "Catch The Fever" Festival Grounds in Pryor, Oklahoma.

Ozzy had this to say, "Believe it or not, I've been doing shows in Oklahoma since 1971, so I know that they have some of the best audiences in the world there."

Shinedown's Brent Smith added, "We are very much looking forward to bringing everyone at this year's Rocklahoma our 100% A-GAME!!! Get Up and Get Ready."

Black Sabbath Receiving Hometown Honor Next Month

(hennemusic) Black Sabbath will be honored with a new tribute in their hometown of Birmingham, UK next month. According to Your West Side Story, a heavy metal steel bench that incorporates images of the band's original four members will be unveiled during a February 9 event in the city.

The steel bench will eventually be placed on the renamed Black Sabbath Bridge across the canal on Birmingham's Broad Street. "We're so excited to be arranging this spectacular event," says Westside Business Improvement District Manager Mike Olley, "when we expect Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward to accept the bench, honoring what's arguably Birmingham's most famous band."

The VIP ceremony will also see drummer Bill Ward awarded his own star on the city's Walk Of Stars, which honors famous people from Birmingham; stars for each of the four members - and a fifth one for the band - will be realigned in the shape of a cross in front of the heavy metal bench on Black Sabbath Bridge.

Black Sabbath fans are invited to apply for a limited supply of 350 tickets to attend the heavy metal bench presentation ceremony at 11am on Saturday, February 9 at St Luke's Church on Gas Street. Read more here.

Metallica Share Live 'Master Of Puppets' Videos

(hennemusic) Metallica are streaming a collection of live videos from a series of fall 2018 US performances of tracks from their classic 1986 album, "Master Of Puppets."

In September, the band rocked the set's title track in Minneapolis, MN, "Battery" in Grand Forks, ND, and "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" in Saskatoon, SK, followed by "Leper Messiah" in Buffalo, NY in October and "Battery" in Sacramento, CA in December as part of one of their final shows of 2018.

The group's major label debut, "Master Of Puppets" became thrash metal's first platinum album on its way to US sales of more than 6 million copies.

Prior to resuming the North American leg of the WorldWired tour in support of 2016's "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct" in Tulsa, OK on January 18, Metallica will next be seen performing at the "I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell" show at The Forum in Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 16. Def Leppard Recap Hysteria + More Tour

(hennemusic) Def Leppard are streaming a video recap of the 2018 leg of their Hysteria + More tour of the UK and Ireland, which saw the band play their legendary 1987 album in its entirety.

Produced by Mutt Lange, "Hysteria" reached No 1 in the band's native UK and the US, where it went on to achieve Diamond status for sales of more than 10 million while selling more than 25 million copies worldwide.

In sync with their fall 2018 concert dates, Def Leppard released a 10-disc limited-edition vinyl box set called "Hysteria: The Singles." The package delivers re-pressed versions of all eight seven-inch vinyl singles from the project, including the Top 5 hits "Pour Some Sugar On Me", "Animal", "Love Bites", "Hysteria", "Rocket" and "Armageddon It."

Two bonus singles - "Excitable"/"Run Riot" (Album Version) and "Love And Affection"/"Don't Shoot Shotgun" (Album Version) - are exclusive to the vinyl box set.

Def Leppard will be inducted into the 2019 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame at the 34th annual ceremony in New York on March 29. Watch the video here.

Meshuggah Announce Limited Edition Reissues

Meshuggah have announced that they will be releasing limited edition vinyl reissue editions of "Nothing", "I," "Catch Thirtythree," "obZen," and "Koloss" on March 22nd.

The special one-time only pressing will feature re-imagined cover artwork, redesigned gatefold jackets, and the audio mastered for vinyl by Thomas Eberger.

The special redesigned artwork was completed by Keerych Luminokaya who created the artwork for the band's 2012 release of "Koloss." See the details for each reissue here.

Mastodon Release Latest Emperor Of Sand tour video Series Clip

(hennemusic) Mastodon are streaming the second part of a video recap series highlighting the band's world tour in support of 2017's "Emperor Of Sand."

Following the opening clip of Troy Sanders on the road, the latest footage features guitarist Brent Hinds giving fans an inside look at the Atlanta group's tour bus.

Bob Mould Previews New Album With Berlin DocuVideo

Bob Mould is gearing up to release his latest full-length solo album "Sunshine Rock" on February 8th and he is previewing the album with the released of documentary style video titled Berlin, the city where he has spent most of the past three years. We were sent the following details:

"In Berlin, you can be whoever you want," Mould says in the video. He describes all of the varying personalities he can entertain within just one day due to the colorfulness of a city that he finds so alluring. Mould goes on to share memories of touring Germany in the 1980's, his favorite three hour acoustic solo performance there at a church in 1991, his love for the gay community and the legacy of the original punk scene of Schoneberg (the Kiez in which he resides), as well as other personal anecdotes of daily routines and rituals that are always key to his creative process. "After three years, I still feel like I'm scratching at the surface of it all," he shares.

The Berlin video was created by filmmaker/editor Mario Bergmann, and director/visual artist Philipp Virus, of Virus Films GbR, who has worked with such bands as Atari Teenage Riot, Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, Iggy Pop, etc., and whose work has been showcased at The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Ronnie Reno Retiring From Music After Over 60 Years

Music icon Ronnie Reno has announced that he will be retiring at the end of this year, after spending over 60 years in the music industry. We were sent the following statement:

"It's been a great run!" says Reno. "I've been truly blessed to get to travel around the world and make a living playing the music I love! I wouldn't change one minute of it...but the road just doesn't call me like it used to," he explains.

"At this point in my life, my wife, Debby, and I are blessed to be active and healthy. So, we just want to take time to enjoy life, love on our grandchildren and do the things we've never had a chance to do," he says. "It's a bittersweet moment for this ole' road dog. I'm excited about the next chapter of my life, but I would be pleased if Reno's Old Time Music plays forever."

Bravo Delta Release 'Unbreakable' Video

Las Vegas hard rockers Bravo Delta have released a music video for their song "Unbreakable". It is the title track to the band's forthcoming album, which is set to be released on February 1st.

Brandon Davis had the following to say about the new record, "This new album and single is three years in the making and features the best material we've ever created.

"Being broken, disconnected, kicked to the ground...and still having the will to get up, fight, and learn from it is the spirit of Unbreakable. And I think you can feel that in the music, the artwork, and everything about this new album" . Watch the video here.
