The live music industry company's event at the Beverly Hilton saw the classic rock pairing take top honor in the category ahead of treks by Coldplay, Rage Against The Machine, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones, and The Killers. (continue)

Steve Vai took to social media to add some context and more details after he made headlines by commenting in an interview that he was "sitting on a whole Ozzy [Osbourne] record". clarified his recent comments that he had enough material recorded with Ozzy Osbourne for a full album.

Vai wrote, "In a recent interview I spoke a bit carelessly about 'Sitting on an entire Ozzy album' and then the clickbait headlines went viral. To clarify, Ozzy and I got together back around 96 and spent some time trying to come up with some potential songs for an album that he already had half recorded. (continue)

(hennemusic) Pearl Jam is streaming a new music video for "Low Light" as part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the release of their 1998 album, "Yield."

Written by bassist Jeff Ament, the clip features footage of Hawaiian surf legend Jock Sutherland, who was winning regional surf championships in the mid-1960s before the age of 20 and whose impact on the sport as one of the first tube riding superstars of the shortboard era led to the famed "Jocko's" break on Oahu's North Shore being named after him. Andrew Hagar & The Midnight Suns recently tackled mental health awareness with two new songs "Leave It Alone" and "If Ya Wanna", and to celebrate we asked Andrew to tell us about one of the tracks. Here is the story:

"If Ya Wanna" was a collaborative effort between myself and Trev Lukather, who produced the song and wrote the music. When Trev first introduced the idea for the track, he had already written an instrumental demo of the song, and knew he wanted us to call it "If You Wanna." Although Trev had a melodic idea for the "If you wanna" bit at the end of the chorus, we had no idea what those words meant, or what the song was about. Often when I'm writing song lyrics, I end up looking through my journals to plumb some inspiration, which I quickly found. The answer lay in the beginning of my musical journey. (continue)

News about the group was announced on Wednesday (February 22nd) via the official Type O Negative Facebook page. They shared, "Kenny and Johnny (sent me a cool update.

"They are jamming in a new group called Eye Am. The band includes Kenny and Johnny as well as Kirk Windstein of Crowbar, Down, and Kingdom Of Sorrow, and Todd Strange, formerly of Crowbar and Down. (continue)

Mongolian rockers The Hu have premiered the first episode of the docuseries, "Citizens of The World," via the Better Noise Music's YouTube channel.

In the episode, viewers get an introduction to the band's four founding members--Gala, Jaya, Temka, and Enkush-and to their traditional instrumentats, including the Morin Khuur, Tovshuur and Tumur Khuur, while presenting THE HU's main message of inspiring listeners to awaken the warrior spirit inside of themselves and to use that courage to spread goodness throughout the world. Texas rockers Judiciary have shared their new single, "Knife In The Dirt". The track comes from their forthcoming sophomore album, "Flesh + Blood", which will arrive on March 10th.
